Charles P. Voelker obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Notre Dame University in 1973 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Duquesne University School of Law 1976. He was admitted in 1976 to the Pennsylvania Bar.
Attorney Voelker began his career as a tax attorney at Touche Ross & Co. and Arthur Young & Co., both international accounting firms. He then practiced Business law and Family law at Voelker, Finnerty & Wojdowski and Voelker, Schiffman, Parise & Wojdowski.
In 1991, he was a founding partner at the well-known family law firm of Goldberg, Gruener, Gentile, Voelker & Horoho. In 1998, he expanded his practice into the area of Estate Planning and Administration by forming the law firm of Voelker & Associates (which is now Voelker & Colton, LLC). Attorney Voelker is as a mediator and collaborative law attorney.
Attorney Voelker is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and its Family Law Section. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He was appointed to be a member of the ACBA Fee Dispute panel. Attorney Voelker taught Family Law at Duquesne University School of Law as an adjunct professor for six years and has lectured on various family law issues for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Attorney Voelker was selected as one of the Top Rated Lawyers in 2012 for Western Pennsylvania – Family Law.
He has served on the Board of Directors for a variety of charities including Epilepsy Foundation of Western PA and Parent & Child Guidance Center. Attorney Voelker also served over 20 years on the Board of Governors at the South Hills Country Club, including several terms as President of the Club.
